COMPOSITION
Ciprobey Pellets for Suspension: After reconstitution each 5 ml suspension contains 250 mg of Ciprofloxacin as Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride USP.
PHARMACOLOGY
Ciprofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone which is an antibacterial agent. It is a broad spectrum
antibiotic. It inhibits DNA-gyrase enzyme and therefore inhibits DNA-synthesis of bacteria. After oral administration Ciprofloxacin is rapidly absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract and rapidly circulated through the body system and body fluid. It has half-life of 3.5 hours. After oral administration 30%-50% of Ciprofloxacin is excreted as unchanged and active metabolite within 24 hours.
